Chamberlain's Limiment.
This is a new preparation and
a good one. It is especially valua
ble as a cure for chronic and mus
cular rheumatism, and for the re-
lief from pain which it affords
in acute inflammatory rheuma-
tism. Those who have used it
have invarably spoken of it in
the highest terms of praise. I.aim
back, lame shoulder and stiff necl
are due to rheumatism of the
muscles, usually brought on by
exposures to cold or damp, and
are quickly cured by applying
this liniment freely and massag-
ing the affected parts. Soreness
of the muscles, whether induced
by violent exercise or injury, is
allayed by this liniment. For sale
by Mexia Drug Co.
Whooping Cough.
This is a more dangerous dis-
ease than is generally presumed.
It will be a surprise to many to
learn that more deaths result froi
it than from scarlet fever. Pneu-
monia often results from it.
Chamberlain's Cough Remedy has
been used in many epidemics of
whooping cough, and always with
the best results. Dclbert .McKeig
of Harlan, Iowa, says of it : ".My
boy took whooping cough when
nine months old. He had it in
the winter. I got a bottle of
Chnmberlnin's Cough Remedy,
which proved good. I cannot
recommend it too highly." For

BIRO LIFE ON THE ZAMBESI.
The bird life also in the valley o:
the Zambesi was extraordinarily rian
and varied. Pelicans, cranes and
herons of many species, geese, ducke
and a multitude of other birds,
swarmed on the sandbanks of the
upper river, or covered acres of
marshy ground in its near vicinity.
I.ower down near the Victoria falls,
as one strolled along the hank, her-
ons, darters, divers and harsh-
voiced ibises flew front the trees and
bushes overhanging the water, and
winged their way to more secure re-
treats; whilst overhead the beautiful
white-headed fish eagles watched tha
waters of the river from the topmosf
branch of some withered tree, or cir-
cled high in air continually giving
vent to their plaintive, quavering
cry. Then, too, the waters of the
Zambesi were everywhere full of
fish, some of which, especially a
species of has.-, were excellent eat-j
ing. Crocodiles, too, were every-1
where numerous, and lay basking on
every sandbank.—Travel Magazine.
