Randell. I am no politician, and
am not posted as to the respective
strength of the three candidates, hut
it is my candid opihlon that Mr. Ran
dell is decidedly the strongest man
In the race, and when the primaries
are over and the votes counted the
footings will show that. I am cor-
rect. Mr. Randell is a Democrat In
the fullest sense of the word, of the
old-fashioned kind. Me Is making
this race as a Democrat—not as an
anti-prohibitionist, nor as a prohlbi
tionlst—simply as a plain, old-fash-
ioned Democrat of the Jeffersonlan
type; Aul lie should receive every
true Democratic vote cast In the pri-
maries. He has represented this dls
trict for ten years in the national
congress and not one act or vote of
hiB lias been against the interests of
the people as a whole. It is a pity
that both branches of congress are
not made up of such characters as
Hon. C. B. Randell. One word to
the Democrats of Texas, and 1 am
through. Mr. Randell may not he
the beBt orator In this state, and no
such claim Is made by his friends,
but I claim him to be the equal In-
tellectually of any, and! far superior
to many who are termed as great
orators, I would for once be glad to
see every Democrat In the state
throw aside the Bailey question, pro-
hibition, anti-prohibition, and vote
for Hon. C. B. Randell—as good a
Democrat, as honest and able as any
man before the American public to-

bill, near his old home; one week at

Williams has numerous frlende in
this county who are glad to meet
him again, and learn that he Is hold-
ing such a high and exalted position
