Max la People Know How to 8ave It
Many Mexia people take their lives
In their hands by neglecting the kid-
neys when they know these organs
need help. Weak kidneys are respon-
sible for a vast amount of suffering
and ill health—the slightest delay is
dangerous. Use Doan's Kidney Pills
—a remedy that has helped thousands
of kidney sufferers. Here is a Mexia
citizen's recommendation.
Mrs. M. King, s. McKinney St..
say8: "Years ago I used Doan's Kid-
ney Pills as a kidney tonic and was
well satisfied with the results they
gave me. My kidneys often got out
of order and I felt generally run down
and worn out. The action of my kid-
neys was very irregular and gave me
a great deal of trouble. When I have
had an attack of that kind, a short use
of Doan's Kidney Pills, taken regular-
ly, is sure to give relief. 1 know that
Doan's Kidney Pills are a splendid
kidney tonic."

Sixteen Rigs on the Way
We get it from the railway
men who are keeping up with
the developments here locally,
that at least sixteen different
drilling rigs are either now on
the way to Mexia, or have al-
ready arrived. Various com-
panies and associations are in-
terested, and it is impossible to
get a line on all those who pro-
pose to drill.

No Return of Trouble After
More Than a Year
"J suffered untold misery
from asthma and catarrh, ever
since I was a girl. I could not

patent medicine I heard about.
About sixteen months ago I star-

The health of the nose, the
throat and the lungs is import-
ant at this season of the year.
Nasal stoppage is not only un-
pleasant, but dangerous. Sore
throat interferes with digestion
and unless quickly mastered, in-
fects the system. Lung ail-
ments are responsible for more
deaths than any other single

To the Farmers Around Mexia
It Pays to Plant Good Seed
I am planting Bennett's Improved Big Boll. It has made
me more money this year than I have made in three years
before. I am gathering 25 bales off of 35 acres.
It is 40 per cent lint. I carry thirteen hundred to the
gin and get 500, 510 and 515 pound bales. I get a premium
of $15 a bale on (he market for it. Ask the buyers of Mexia
about it. I am now selling these seed at $2.00 per bushel.
If you care for some of them, please leave your order at
Fielder & Walton's cotton office or at Farmers State Bank.

Newspapers are filled with stories of millions made from Texas Oil.
These fortunes have been realized by people who made investments in the oil industry.
These fortunes have formerly been made in far away parts of the state, but now the pos-
sibilities are brought home to us and we are all given the opportunity to join in the sudden
riches that oil always brings.
BURKBURNETT made its host of millionaires. Hundreds of its citizens were literally
forced into taking stock in companies, where just a few dollars meant independence for
them.
DESDEMONIA brought wealth to those who helped to finance the original companies.
Many of these companies had less than one acre of leased land.
RANGER is a household word throughout the world.
MEXIA now commands the attention of the entire oil world. The wise ones predict the
very largest field yet discovered. Large companies have their scouts combing our part of
the State.
Put a little bet on Mexia; just a little one. Don't plunge; scatter your shots and ever so of-
ten you'll score so strong that you can smiie at the little plays that went wrong.
Remember that the law of averages is always in force.
THE MEXIA PETROLEUM CO. is playing the law of averages.
It is a splendid thing to have one lease, but if you join those who are scientifically study-
ing our field you will receive the benefits that come from a large number of well selected
leases.
Our field is new. The oil may be found just where we think there is the least chance for it.
