Woman'* Missionary Union met with
'Mrs. J. E. Lewis on Monday after-
noon.
Rev. J. B. Oliver led the devotion-
al after which Mrs. J. A, Kunkel con-
ducted the lesson from the Miner
Prophets. At the social hour, Mrs.
J. D. Porter assisted the hostess in
serving appetising refreshments to

Ed Storey, L. E. James, J. D. Wil-
hite, Frank Hinkson, H. H. Lennox.

who is Just home from school, and

tained on Friday afternoon at which
time bridge was the diversion.
A decorative schem of pink and
green was used in floral arrange-
ment, favors, score cards, etc.
In the game Miss Ruth Marable
was awarded a beautiful hand-
painted placque, Mrs. B. F. Marable
received a lovely ilnen towel. Miss
Elisabeth Corley was consoled with
a dainty hanGkerchief. The hostess
remembered the honorees also, Miss
Lennox receiving attractive rhine-
stone buckles, and Miss Marable a
pretty handpainted mail boxv
Mrs. C. D. Lennox and Ned O'NetJl
assisted in serving a delicious lunch-

The Methodist Woman's Mission-
ary Society met on Monday after-
noon with Mesdames Tom Williams
and Hudson Edwards at the home of
Mrs. Williams.
After a short business session,
Rev. Minor Bounds gave a talk on
the Missionary Work, after which a
social hour followed. A reading by
Miss Ella Ruth Bounds, "Tapestry
Weavers" was much enjoyed.
A delicious ice course was served

Party
A number of the younger set of
boys entertained the girls with a
party at. the North Lake Tuesday
evening. Swimming and dancing

A delightful hospitability of the
week was the bridge and forty-two
party given on Tuesday afternoon,
honoring Miss Mary Marable, bride
elect, with Mrs. Paul Marable and
Miss Ruth Marable as hostesses, at
the home of the latter.
The tables were arranged upon
the delightfully spacious lawn. Many
l$V61y baskets of flowers added to
the natural beauty of the spot.
At the completion of the games.
Mrs. Shaw received the bridge prize,
which was a beautiful boudior pil-
low. The honoree received a prutty
pair of hand embroidered pillow
cases.
Punch was dispenced during thp
