oat? grown by our entorprising neighbor Judge
Thomas. It consisted of 12 stalks from one seed
and measured on an avcrago four feet. The Judge
who I one of tho best and moat successful farmers in
tho county assures us that his present crop of vol-
uutccr oats will yield upwards of thirty bushels to
the aero that they liavo large and heavy heads and
In every respect present the finest appearance. His
crop consists entirely of the kind called black oats ;
and he thinks that tho oat crop generally is excellent.
