NOTICE.
Waco Texas Nov. 10th 1920.
Mr. S. J. Westheimer
Houston Texas.
Dear Mr. Westheimer:
One of our I. O. B. B. members Mr.
I. Goodman of this city requests of
me that I ask of you a favor.
About ten days ago a party by the
name of J. D. Glass who claimed he
was residing in Houston but original-
ly from New York visited the city of
San Angelo and represented himself
to be a B'nai B'rith organizer stating
to the Jewish peoplj of that town he
was sent there by headquarters.
He advised the people there he had
recently been in Waco and had reor-
ganized our I. O. B. B. lodge and had
assisted in the membership campaign
drive of which you took an active
part He succeeded in getting the con-
fidence of the people of San Angelo
and made hit headquarters at the
business house of Mr. Goodman's son-in-law
Mr. Sam Jacobstein who is in
the Jewelcry business from whom he
purchased on memorandum a diamond
valued at $800.00 also a Corona type-
writer valued at $50.00. He advised
Mr. Jacobstein before leaving town
that he would give him a check for the
merchandise receved but without giv-
ing notice to anyone he left the city
and no one has heard of him since.
In as much as he stated he was of
Houston the writer would appreciate
your investigating hit whereabouts
and wire Mr. Goodman of Waco at his
expense and would also appreciate
your wiring the B'nai B'rith Head-
quarters with the view of locating this
party. In as much as he is sailing un-
der false colors feel quite sure head-
quarters will use every effort to lo-
cate this man.
Any information or assistance you
can give in the above matter will be
appreciated by
Yours respectfully
ALEX H. SANGER.
P. S.: To assist you in locating this
party I beg to give you a description
of him. He is about 5 1-2 feet tall
weighs about 170 pounds wears glas-
ses is a brunette the thumb on his
righ hand is deformed. He appears to
be a man of about 60 or 66 'years pf
age. ALEX H. SANGER.
Houston Texas Nov. 13th 1920.
Mr. Alex H. Sanger
Waco Texas.
Dear Sir and Brother:
I have yours of the 10th in which
you give me data on one J. D. Glass
who claims to be an I. O. B. B. organ-
izer. This same man has received money
from several Houston B'nai B'rith
saying he was a staunch member of
the order out of employment and try-
ing to make his way back to New
York.
I am sorry that this has occurred
but the only thing that I can do in the
matter and shall do is to place the oc-
currence in the Jewish papers and
also the B'nai B'rith News. I will also
send a copy of your letter to me to
Victor Hexter Myron Goldman A. H.
Seelenfreund and to the B'nai B'rith
News.
It will be a hard matter to locate a
man of this character as he will have
a new name in each town but if he
can be located at all I believe we can
do it through the B'nai B'rith News.
Hoping to hear from you again I re-
main Very truly yours
S. J. WESTHEIMER.

AJEWISH ARMY IN PROSKUROV.
"Warsaw: (By I. J. P. B.) "Obshtoie
Delo" brings the new of the organiza-
tion of a Jewish battalion to fight for
Petlura and against the Bolsheviki.
The battalion will carry its own blue
flag.
Jewish newspapers in Warsaw
doubt the accuracy of the report
They maintain that it would be most
unbelievable that in Frosgnrov where
the soil is full of Jewish blood shed by
Petlura's soldiers Jews should organ
ize to fight for that same murderous
chieftan.
