kets. Mrs. Chas. M. Lee and children
are spending a few weeks at Corpus
Christi.
Mrs. L. L. Marks left today for a
trip to Chicago. .She will return dur-
ing the latter part of October to re-
sume her classes.
Miss Anna G. Segal has returned
from a visit to her sister Mrs. Max
R. Juran of Houston.
The J. C. S. C. entertained its mem-
bers with a supper at the Original last
Wednesday evening. Plans were out-
lined for an outing at Boeme to be
held Labor Day.
Miss Edith Weber has returned
home after a delightful visit to Hous-
ton and Galveston.
Mr. and Mrs. Max Mazur entertain-
ed last Sunday August 28 with a
birthday picnic at New Braunfels in
honor of their daughter Esther's six-
teenth birthday.
The crowd of boys and girls met at
the Mazur home on Elmira street at
7:30 a. m. There they piled into can
and the jolly crowd proceeded to Fratt
where they enjoyed dancing and re-
freshments. From there they motored
to Landa's Park New Braunfels. It
was then about 11:30 a. m. While
some of the boys helped set th table
the rest of the crowd enjoyed ball
games and kodaking. By the time the
lunches were spread the crowd was
ravenously" hungry and they did jus-
tice to the good eats and refreshing
drinks.
After lunch part of the bunch went
rowing and the rest went riding.
Their ride took in Seguin Texas.
When they got back to Landa's
Park the tables were spread with ice
cream and cakes including a big pink
birthday cake holding sixteen candles.
After the refreshments the boys and
girls donned bathing suits and went
in for a jolly swim. When they got
out it was time to go home so they
again piled into the cars and went
home. We can safely say that an ex-
tremely good time was enjoyed by
every one.
