J. A. C NEWS
By Pep.
The J. A. & ball team defeated the
F. H. H. Club of Dallas at "Y" Park
Sunday by the score of 16 to 6. The
feature of the game was the hitting
of Fink and the pitching of Brown.
Most of the Dallas runs were caused
by the wildness of Brown. The Fort
Worth runs were caused by errors
and timely hitting. The two teams
have met in two games and each team
has taken one. The third and deciding
game will be played in Dallas. This

game will decide the championship of
the two cities.
Y. M. II. A. Meeting.
There will be a meeting at the He
brew Institute Sunday Sept. 11 at
3:00 p. m. to discuss the matter of
recognizing the Y .M. II. A. All young
men who would be interested are ask-
ed to attend whether or not they
were previously members. No money
will be collected or asked.
This meeting is for the purpose of
determining whether it would be
practical to go on with Y. M. H. A.
work in Fort Worth.
ABE BRACHMAN Treasurer.
O. T. Club Note.
A regular meeting of the club was
held it the Hebrew Institute Wed-
nesday night with every member at-
tending. The club wishes to state that as
soon as we organize our bask;t ball
team and also volley ball team we will
issue a challenge to he two other
Jewish clubs in the city. We have
some very fine basketball and volley
ball material. A few of the members
played on the former Y. M. H. A.
teams of a few years ago. So be pre-
pared for our challenge.
The F. O. P. initiation drill team
pulled off the initiation work at the
meeting and we are sure that the
members that were the victims did
not have an easy time of it. They cer-
tainly gave it to us good and strong
plenty of everything. Mr. Sidney Lev-
enson was the hero of the occasion.
He took it like a man and when they
were through he asked for more.
The O. T. Club have voted to be
100 per cent strong in joining the
new Y. M. H. A. whenever the organ-
izers want us to come in. We have
the cream of the Jewish boys in our
club and you can be sure of a fine
bunch of senior members. Any time
you want us to come in just holler
and we will come in a body and be
glad of the chance.
A good many F. O. P. club mem-
bers attended our meeting and from
the remarks about us we art sure that
we made a good impression upon
them. Our meetings are conducted in
an orderly manner. The president
conducted himself as a president
should .Everyone follows his exarjle
and without any bragging or getting
conceited I can say that we have a
club that is an honor to the Jewish
people of Fort Worth.
Though we have not our quota yet
the club voted that our books shall b
closed. We will therefore not take In
any new members. Fellows that have
their applications in already will have
to wait their turn. When our books
are open again for membership there
will be tome fight and hard work to
get in.
The club is doing its utmost best to
help as much as they i-fn to pull the
big F. O. P. Dance over. As there It
not a rolling stone in our entire club
you can be sure that instead of roll-
ing down the hill wo are going to
climb up the hill and try and make
their dance a big success.
