TRAVELING MEN TO PARADE.
Amniillo Council U. C. T. has Ix-i-n busied for week with
plans t0 mnk the dny a n itali'o one from their viewpoint and many
novel surprises are hinted at by those in charge of arrangements.
1 lie traveling men of the city will assemble at the Chamber of
Commerce this morning at 10 o'clml. and at 10:30 headed by
Lrass bund will form line of parade marching up Polk to Seventh
street across to Taylor down to Fourth and back to Polk ending
the tnirrh at the Hotel Amarillo.
There cars will be waiting to transport the marchers to the Fair
gicunds where they will proceed to make a day of it. A special
program has been shaped but it is not at all improbable that the
kniVlits of the grip will make a new program of their own and carry it
to rousing completion.
FDUCATORS TO SPEAK.
The education.il ptogram bids fair to prove notable. President
K. P. Couiins of lh- West Texas State Normal Dr. B. G. Lowrey of
Lowrey-Philli;s School and Superintendent S. M. Byrd of the Am
nrillo puhlic schools will deliver addresses suitable to the occasion.
In addition a chorus of 150 school children will make special
appeal. Tl.ce children hfcvc been rehearsed by Mist Lilla Bell Pitta
Musical Supervisor of the City Schools.

will add to the worth of the separate programs which will be
iiivcn in the auditorium throughout the morning and afternoon.
