Chubby's Walk
By MARY GRAHAM BONNER
IN THE meantime the cub Chub-
-■rtoy had walked and walked and
walked. Sometimes he had felt so
tired that he had had to stop and
rest, and he had taken short, fitful
naps frorn time to .time. He had
eaten a little now and aga'h, but
so much less than he usually did
that he was already thinner.
He did not know where he was
going, but he felt he could never
return to Puddle Muddljp. And yet
he did not want to live anywhere
else.
He felt He would just have to bo
a lonely, stray bjaj wandering on
until*h<( C!OuId wander no more.
He-had 'thought so much that his
head ached, for none of his
thoughts had been happy ones. „
Over and over and over andi
over again he had asked hfmself "

T\AY BY DAY, week by week, monfy by month,
Purina Laying Chows keep up steady egg
production. Hie reason they do is because
they're u4ggs in a bag." Every ingredient has
a definite egg-making job to do — every ingre-
dient does its job.
All year 'round the carefully balanced,
blended and tested Purina paying Chows do
the best job of keeping up egg profits. Checker-
board quality feeds bring you results that a
"price" feed can never accomplish.
Purina Laying Chows are the only laying
feeds on the market fortified with that new vita-
min A ingredient, Pur-a-tene. If you want Purina
'•suits, feed Purina Laying Chows. You

how he had been so terrible as to
dash .after the honey and then
make for the pond without think-
ing of Rip. The dog had always
been so kind to him.
Everyone in Puddle Muddle had
been good to him. Honey Bear had
always been a lqving, devoted
mother. She had always been fair
to him. She had not made more
of a fuss over Jupiter and Blacky
than she had over him. But he
knew'. He understood. He was dif-
ferent—different from all of them.
It had showed that lie Was differ-
ent when he could have let Rip
become stung by those bees.
. What, was he igoing to do?
Wander on and on and on. And
so he continued going—always
away from Puddle.,'Muddle, but
with every step hef took with his
four legs he wished he could be
returning to Puddle Muddle.
