for ten minutes with boiling wa-
ter. Drain. Add the rest of the in-
gredients and boil quickly for 25
minutes. Pour into aterilized jam
and seal immediately.

2 lemons, sliced
Select large ripe cucumbers. Cut
xnto quarters and discard large
seods. Then cut into one-inch—or
smaller — pieces. Add cucuoabers
to salt and cold water. L*t soak
over nightvln the morning cover
with clear cold water and cook
slowly until tended. Drain.
Combine remaining ingredients
and let boil together for nve min-
utes. Add cucumbers and cook un-
til they become clear—but not soft.
Pour into sterilized jars. Seal.
