Worth meet.
North Texas is the defending
champion of the West Texas Be-
lays.
Leading the Flock to Odessa
will be Captain Boyd Dollar, who
is entered in the 100-yard dash
and three of four relavs that the
Fugles will compete in, the 440,
8X0, and the sprint medley.
Dollar will have his work cut
out for hiin in the century. His
old nemesis, Bobby Morrow of
ACC, one of the finest sprinters
of all times, wilt be occupying a
lane in the race. Morrow, who
i lias been beaten at the tape once
ill his college career, streaked
to a 0.0 in the 100 at the South-
western meet. Dollar, no slouch
in the speed department himself,
registered a l>.~ in lie meet.
Teaming up with Dollar in the
110 and KK0 relays will lie Jimmy
Weaver, John Cotten, and Hugh
Autrey. Weaver, Cotten, Dollar,
and Bobby Mosshart will make up
the sprint medley relay team.
Cotten, Weaver, Autrey, and
I'ete Sardelich were named by
I Noah to the mile relay foursome.
Others making the trip to Odea-
su will be Henry l.yles and Al
Oglesby. l.yles grabbed the only

The five-man team traveling ta
San Marcos will consist muinly
of weight men, headed by Bob
Buivh, the shot-put and discus
tosser. Burch copped the discus
throw at the Bonier Olympics but
lost out to Kay Burrus of West
Texas State by inches at Fort
Worth.
John Slack will join Burch in
ihe weights, liurch will also eoni-
| pete in the high jump, and will
run with Denny Andrews, Richard
Cage, and Lee Wood in the 440
relay.
' age is scheduled to run the
100-yard and 220-yard dashes,
while Andrews will throw the jave-
; tin and Wood will try the pole
' vault.
Despite the reversals at the
| hands of the Wildcats, the Fagles
have been turning in times that
normally would have been good
; for blue ribbons. For instance, the
; 440 clocking of Weaver was 1.1
1 seconds below the old meet record
I but Weaver placed third.
