ing the exercice* there are no
wrong answers but that the atu-

acceptable By this method the
student* learn the traditional
rules of grammar by practicing
their use. but they are not em-
phaaicad as rules
The book's publishers, Har
court. Brace and World, are ob-
taining foreign rights to the
book so it can be used by foreign
students in studying English,
said Dr. Whitten
While Dr Whitten is in Den-
ver attending the annual Confer-
ence on College Composition and
Communication, she will meet
with the editors of the "Har-
brace College Handbook." of
which she is a co-author.
The sixth edition of this gram
mar and rhetoric handbook for
college freshmen will be publish
ed in January.

NY Met Trip
Eugene Conley, resident tenor,
will attend the closing program of
the Metropolitan Opera in its old
home in New York April 1®.
