SENATE JOURNAL.
Senate granted the request of the
House for the appointment of a con-
ference committee on H. B. No. 52,
and the following were appointed on
the part of the Senate:
Senators Holbrook, Redditt, Pat-
ton, Parr, and Hornsby.
Announcement of Appointment.
The Chair, Lt. Gov. Edgar E. Witt,
announced the resignation of Senator
Parr from the Conference Committee
on S. B. No. 3, and appointed Sena-
tor Collie to take his place.
Point of Order.
Senator Moore raised a point of
order that Senator Holbrook has al-
ready spoke his time limit on the
resolution and that he is now out of
order.
The Chair sustained the point of
order.
The question recurs on the motion
to pass the resolution.
The roll call developed no quorum
voting:

The Senate was called to order,pursuant to recess, by Senator Small
at 3:15 o'clock p. m.
S. C. R. No. 34.
Senator Hornsby sent up the fol-
lowing resolution:
Be It Resolved by the Senate of
the State of Texas, House of Repre-
sentatives concurring, That Rule
Eleven of the Joint Rules of the
House and Senate, be suspended, to
take up and pass in the Senate, H. B.
No. 105, and said Rule is hereby sus-
pended.
HORNSBY.
The resolution was adopted.
S. C. R. No. 35.
Senator Parr sent up the follow-
ing resolution:
Be It Resolved by the Senate, the
House of Representatives concurring,
That Rule Eleven of the Joint Rules
of the House and Senate, be, and is
hereby suspended, so that H. B.'s
Nos. 136 and 168 can be taken up
and considered at this time.

Senator Poage called for a division
on the vote as to the two bills named
in the resolution.
The resolution was lost as to H. B.
No. 168 by the following vote:
