PROTECTION/ OF CHILDREN
of pre-sehool age, through clinic
examinations, and immunization
against disease constitutes one of
the most essential movements that
could be promoted in Oils locality
with its congested conditions. In
this work just accomplished,
wherein 150 children were given
complete physical Checkups and
inoculated against disease, at the
Orange City-County health unit,
the results w'" be that of remov-
ing many chances for the outbreak
of contagious diseases, and epi-
demics. It is indeed fortunate to
realize ttiat Orange county has
• not hud a single pottb case during
the present wide spread epidemic.
CAR ACCIDENTS REPEATED
frequently, at the sain? intersect-
ion of a venues of traffic bring out
(lie fact that something is wrong
and I hat it can and should be rem-
edied. For some general causc,
there have been many repetitions
of accidents at the intersection of
Sixth street and Punk avenue.
Surely that situation-fan be rcmi-
rlied, ir through no other method
why not try the red and green
lights? If something is not done
soon, there is a likelihood of a
lata! accident there before the end
'I til's year.

The United Stales is considering
lighter plane protection for Amer-
ican transport plane* which may
have to pass near the Yugoslav
border while flying the AustHau-
Italiati route, top diplomatic au-
thorities reported today.
The. plan under consideration
would retain the present absolute
ban against any American flights
over Yugoslav territory and would
: he designed to protect American
! aircraft from attack by Yugoslav
ifilTfnes which might venture over
Austria. ^ '■
The whole consideration i bas-
t d oil a point made in the ulti-
matum sent to the Yugoslav gov-
ernment late yesterday in which
the United States said thot the
two airplanes already attacketl by
Yugoslav fighters may not have
been over Yugoslavia at all.
The American note, demanding
release of any of- the 15 persons
in the two planes who are "still
alive," declared that for the flme
being the United States makes
1 "no statement as ot the exact lo-
cation pf the two planes when
