There really is someone at
Darnall Army Community Hos-
pital hose chief duty is to
assist patients who are bewil-
dered confused and perplexed
with the military medical maze.
HOW MANY times have you
had an appointment at DACH
only to be told Sorry but
you’re not in the computer”?
The usual reaction to this is
shock confusion and a control-
le of
thoughts.
The receptionists usually will
direct you to another clinic
with the fond hope that some-
body there will be able to assist
you. After about the third cli

patients in any way they can.

According to Fox “The pa-
tie feels like e’s getting
bounced around from clinic to
clinic. If this is happening then
we go ahead and straighten it
out right away while he’s here.
The complaints needing
assistance probably run about
15 to 30 a month. For example
all of our appointments are
made by computer sometimes
resulting in misunderstandings
by both the patients and the re-
ceptionist. I can on most occa-
sions depending on the cir-
cumstances of the patient call
central appointments and get
the patient seen that day.” Fox
was quick to caution that this
