Bids were delivered to each girl
in her dormitory Tuesday after-
noon. New pledges signified their
acceptance by appearing at the

In Minstrel Show
Eight North Texas entertainers,
the Angel Flight and three faculty
members will participate in the
.'{7th annual Kiwanis Minstrel nnd
Variety Show Thursday and Fri-
day in the Denton High School
Auditorium. Showtime is 8 p.m.
'Feasor Floyd Graham of the
School of Music faculty will emcee,
and Dr. Sam McAlister, director
of the government department,
will lie floor manager. Fugene Con-
ley, NTSU resident tenor, will
sing "Serenade," by Schubert; the
first-act aria from Puccini's "Tos-
ca"; and "Danny Boy."
Students in the show include
John Moehring, Rockdale, magi-
cian; Linda Woods, Longview, ma-
rimhist; Don Thames, Nacogdoches,
and Lenore Woods, Houston, soft
shoe dancers. Other dancers are
Talana Hadsell of Denton, Roger
Sumlin of Lake Jackson and Norma
Hynds of Mcsquite.
R. B. Noale Jr., an ex-student
who is personnel director of the
Denton State School, is in charge
of the program. Jim Rivers of
Cyril, Okla,, will play the piano
and Les Mills, NTSU ex, will be
at the organ nnd also accompany
Coniey.
Admission to the show is $1,
and proceeds will help provide
medical care for any child in Den-
ton County who needs assistance.
