CITY COUNCIL MET IN SPE-
CIAL SESSION LAST NIGHT.
The city council met In special ses-
sion la&t night at the Fire Station for
the purpose of hearing certain state-
ments of City Attorney H. Rob Keoble
In which he complained of Recorder
Willis' rulings In a number of cases
which had como up in the city courts.
A. H. Klrby and V.. J. Cunnigham
represented Recorder Willis and Har-
ry Tom King City Attorney Keeble.
The proceedings were Informal and
were simply to hear the complaints
as filed by Mr. Keoble and to give Mr.
.Willis an opportunity to make such
answer as ho might wish to make Mr
Klrby and Mr. Cunningham In speak-
ing for Mr Willis said that tho pro-
ceedings were unheard of and that
they partook more of tho order of
a "kangaroo court" than anything else.
Mr. King in answering said that Mr.
Keeblo did not make any chargo of any
kind against Mr. Willis' but simply
desired to lay before tho council tho
