YOUNG COPLE FHOM NUGENT
MARRIED HERE IN A HOTEL.
F. M. Jones and Miss Essie Brown of
Nugent came to Abilene yesterday af-
ternoon secured a marriage license
and had Esquire H. Rob Keeble tie the
niiptinl knot for them about 6:30 in
the eyening.
Esquire Keeble had gono to bis home
And the groom to bo telephoned him to
come to the Metropolitan hotel to per-
form the marriage ceremony. The
young 'squire soon reported for duty
and the young people were quickly
made a happy married couple.
Mr. and Mrs. Jones left on the 11; 55
T. & P. train for points east to spend
their honeymoon during the holidays
after which they will return to Nugent
to make .their home.

County Attorney Roy Intends to
make preparations at once for an-
other trial at the next term of court.

but a mistrial. "No we will not aak
for bond for McCue. We could have
got bond this time If he had wanted
it but wo don't'want it. That boy is
going to stay right over there (point
ing to the jail.)
"If we should get him out It would
not bo two weeks before some one
would bo willing to testify that ho
had confessed tho crime and talked it
over with them. No. sir we would not
accept any bond however small. He
is going to stay where there will not
be any danger of such witnesses.
"I want this case tried again and
I want it tried in Tarrant county. Just
as soqn as I can get that newB butch
er that sold tho watch to Earl Mabrey
the watch that the state has attemp
ted to show was the property of Mc
Cue I am ready. I have had this
boy at Dallas four times but when tho
case came to trial I lost track of him
I have since found that he is running
out of Cincinnati. His father is in
Houston and I know the whereabouts
of other relatives and In this way I
hope to find him soon. He buys these
watches by the dozen and he sold that
watch and when I find him I am
ready."

C. K Thompson of Fort Worth and
Mrs. Sarah Black of this city were
married at tho parsonage ofthe Oak
Street Baptist church In this city by
the pastor of that church Rev. M. F.
Brury yesterday afternoon.
Only a few friends and lmmediato
relatives of the bride witnessed the
ceremony. Tho best man was C. J.
Clover of Strawn a close friend of the
groom.
Mr. Thompson 1b a fireman on the
Texas & Paclfllc running between Ft.
Worth and Balrd. His bride has been
a resident of Abilene for several years
and Is well and favorably known to
tho people of this city. Mr Clover
who is now engaged in mining at
Strawn was formerly a fireman of tho
Texas' & Pacific and worked with Mr.
Thompson.
Mr. and Mrs Thompson will make
their homo in Abilono for some time
but expect to finally locate in Fort
Worth.

from Dallas' to spend the Christmas
holidays with his mother Mrs. O. W.
Steffqns and sister Mrs. Minna Ward.
Mr. Stoffons was accompanied hy hla
sister Miss Bessie Mao who has been
attending St Mary's college at Dallas
during the first torm.

from Belton whore she attended Bay-

term and will spend Christmas with

Miss Myrtle Bailey of Anson spent
