plete ofllclal returns from the special
oloctlon last Monday when Maine vot-
ed on tho question of repeal of the con-
stitutional prohibitory amendmont as
canvassed by tho governor and coun-
cil Bhowed a majority of twonty-slv
votes 'in favor of repeal.
Various discrepancies were found
in the official returns as comparod
with tho tabulations compiled by tbo
secretary of state's office. Tho lattor
Indicated a majority for ropenl of
130 votes.
