Craft in purchasing uppliet for and in repairing govern"
ment owned merchant thips and the use of political or other
inftut-nce in obtaining contrartt for thip construction and
the allocation of completed vessels to operating companies
are among a maze- cf charges made in a report submitted
to the house committee on shipping board operations by
A. M. Tishcr and J. F. Richardson former employes of the
board.
Chairman Benson of the shipping board refused tonight
to dixruss the report declaring that any statement he might
have to make would be made to the house committee which
is now constructing its investigation of the board's
operations.
The report was made publir tonight by the committee
of which Representative Walsh republican of Massachu-
setts is chairman.
