Shrewd farmers who ejrjoct to
make cotton next year are making
arrangements to get their seed from
l ocalities where tho loll weevil
La not appeared and plant very
early and as often as the cold
weather may make it necessary.
They expect to beat the boll weevil
to a part of the crop and let him
Lave the rest of it without a
struggle.
A boll weevil convention has
been called to meet in Dallas De-
cember 17. Prof. Sanderson of the
A. and M. College and Prof. Mally
of Garrison Texas and also mem-
bers of the legislature have been
specially invited to attend. All
mayors and county judges are
also requested to appoint three
delegates each to attend' the meet
log. An effort will be made to
put the legislature on the trail of
the boll weevil.
