were as busy as bees with the work
of their separate programs. North.
east south west and central Texas
people representative men met
mingled and exchanged ideas in
papers addresses and conversation
with much pleasure and a great
deal ot benefit to all. The work
showed that the congress has long
since passed the experimental
atsge and is now as business like
and fixed in purpose as a bankers
convention and of far more general
benefit to the state.
Macaroni w heat is one of the
important things attracting great
attention at the Congress and no
less a person than N. A. Carlton
cerealist of the agricultural depart-
ment at Washington is at College
to talk on this subject. He is ac-
companied by S. A. Holztnao of
Dallas special agent of the agri
cultural department in charge ol
the macaroni wheat experiments
now Wing conducted on the farm
f H.O. Samuel of Dallas who is
also in attendant on the Ongret-s.

terest is manifested in this new
industry which promises so much

an exhibit but this year she has
laid all others in the ibude with
magnificent exhibit that wouldle
a credit to any county in the state
gotten together bv Mes.-rs. Walter
W ippreeht and J. U. White and
supplied by a number of up-to-date
and enterprising farmers of Brazos
county who deserve the greatest
credit for their intelligent Bnd in-
lustrums eiltrts to aid in bettering
ondmons. Ihe Brazos county ex-
hibit covers everything from nu
merous varietie- of tuoi.er to an
endless array of the product of
farm garden and orchard includ
ing all kinds of canned and pre
served fruits hpeoimens of oats.
m- and grasM etc.. One of the
most uni.iue and most admired
features of the exhibit me several
small bales of alfalfa and grasses
put up in a small baling machine
made expre-sly for the purpose of
preparing this exhibit by Mr. -S.
H. Wynn the engineer and ma-
chinist of the Bryan Compress.
These small bales are perfect in
form and drtail ami are very much
admired bv visitors to the exhibit.
