lating Running at Large of Dogs.
I to It Ordained by Oity t'ouncil. City
of Pry an:
Sectiou 1. That it shall U unlawful
for the owner of any dog to permit
such dog to run at large within the
corporate limits of the city of Uryan
during the months of June July and
August unless such dog shall have en
a mule sufficient to keep said dog
from biting.
Sev. 2. That any person violating
the preceding article of this ordinance
shall be deemed guilty of misdemean-
or and. upon eonxiction. shall be fined
in any sum not less than one nor more
than one hundred dollars: providing
hoxxexcr that city attorney may dis
miss prosecution uguiust person for
xtetatitig this ordinance upon their
payment of their impounding fee here-
inafter allowed the city marshal and
costs of such prosecution.
Sec. 3. That it shall be the duty of
the city marshal or some one depu-
tised by him to take up and impound
all dogs found running at large In xio
latiou of this ordinance and safety-
keep such dog for a period of forty
eight hours and use diligence to us
certain the ow ner of same. If owner o
uch dog cannot be ascertained and
no person appears and claims such dog
aud pays the Impounding fee within
forty-eight hours after such dog Is so
impouuded. then it shall be presumed
that such dog is of no value to the
owner and it shall bo the duty of the
city marshal or some one appointed
