vious. Mississippi river- high-water
records were smashed today and the
flood is rising at the rate of three to
five Inches each day causing extreme
anxiety. The guage here registers 20.6
feet the highest ever recorded. At
Baton Rouge it is a foot above all pre-
vious marks and rising six inches
every day.

yard" liquor law does not apply In the
trial of local option cases remanding
and reversing the case of J. L. Talley.
