RENEW RUMORS IN
BROWN MURDER CASE
Two Dallas Men Waited Upon by Com-
mittee Citizens and Private De-
tectives Questioned Parties.
Dallas Texas Oct. 11. Consider-
able excitement was caused in Dallas
Friday following reports that two false
arrests had been made in connection
with the murder of Miss Florence T.
Brown onJuly 28 in the real estate
offices of Robinson & Styron. An in-
vestigation however developed that
two men had been severely questioned
by a committee of cltlxens or private
detectives.
Following the reports in connection
with the case Judge Barry Miller
formerly criminal district Judge of
Dallas County Issued a statement In
which he attacked private detectives
working as be said without authority.
He is the attorney for the two men
and the statement vigorously attacked
the private detectives whom It Is
claimed bad a part in connection wltn
the affair.
Sheriff Brandenburg when asked
about the case declared if was not
justice and right for men to act as
the detectives or citizens had done
In this case.
No charges have even been filed in
connection with the case. Jounty At-
torney McCutcheon declared Friday
there were no new developments. Fol
lowing the reports of the false arrests
McCutcheon rushed to the scene to
see that no one took advantage of the
situation by arresting any man before
the proper warrant had been issued.

less than twice the height of the

denote the proportions man bears to
