Their Messages Are Helpful and
spiring to the Students.
On Wednesday morning Rev. C. H.
Storey visited Allen Academy and
codducted the chaK-l exercises. Rev.
Storey Is the new minister recently
called to the pastorate of .the Presby-
terian Church.
Mr. Storey Is a young man not very
many years out of college himself and
he soon made It plain that he Is in
close touch and sympathy with the
bright and bouyant things of young
manhood. He spoke on school ath-
letics! He showed In a very attractive
and forceful way how athletics can

for So much In life. His talk was
brief to the point and full of lire and
: It was thoroughly enjoyed by the
' school.
j The doors of the academy stand
I wide open to the visits of the pastors
1 of Bryan. Our chapel exercises are
' held at 9 to 9:30 every morning. No
minister of the gospel need ever feel
that even an unannounced visit Is an
Intrusion; on the other hand the pns-
j tors who just drop In unexpectedly
! frequently bring us the most welcome
I and the most timely messages.
' To Mr. Storey we express .our
i hearty appreciation of his recent visit
; and we extended to him an Invitation
to come often.
On Friday morning Rev. Glenn
1 Fllnn spoke to the school. Mr. Flinn
Is always Interesting and attractive
In big talks but he was especially so
i on this occasion. He knows bow to
be serious and yet bright and happy;
how to present the sternest facts and
truths In a' most winning way. He
spoke on "The Fight Against Sin."
and so dearly did he define the issues
that no one could fall to understand
and so persuasively did he present the
advantages of right living and the
necessity for. a courageous resistance
ORainst the wrong that everyone must
have been stirred to new resolutions.
The message was a very helpful one.
