"A VERSE."
t'Don a crutch her girlish face
Alight with love and tender grace
Laughing she limps from place to
place.
Upon a crutch.
And you and I who Journey through
A rose-leaf world of dawn and dew
We cry to Heaven over much
We rail and frown at fate while she
And many more In agony
Are like her patient brave and free
Upon a crutch.
The above Unas were written by
one who Las learned a lesson of pa
tience forbearance yea even hap-
piness from our sweet girl friend
"upon her crutch.' The request Is
that no names be given here but we
all know and love ber for she hss
by her daily life taught us to smile In
spile of pain to be Joyous even In
sore affliction to look beyond the
clouds to the blue sky above us where
the sun Is always shining. Many
