The urgent call today is for still greater production, of food for a war-time America, for a war-time army, for a war-
torn world, and for the workers who will make the goods so vital to our own war effort. N olonger are the farmers
being asked to produce food for friendly nations which are resisting aggression, but the call today is for life-sav-
ing foods for our allies who are standing beside us in our battle to stave off a dictator's rule in the world.
Rusk, Texas offers to the farmers of Cherokee and adjoining counties a market for their Foods For Freedom.

Your Government is asking you to produce
more food, and is willing to pay you well for
this effort. In some countries the farmers
are forced to produce, and then all food is
confiscated by the government. The battle
of Food is on—are you ready to enlist?
Cooperating in the war effort in Cherokee
county are the Agricultural Adjustment
Administration, the Department of Agricul-
ture officers, including C. Metz Heald, the
county agent, and Mrs. Rozella Cook, the
Home Demonstration agent, and all citi-
zens of the county and Rusk.

IMPORTANT MEETING
A meeting will be held in your Community at an early date at which time you will
be given full details of this TPlant for Victory" campaign to produce more food.
OUR BEST REASON FOR MORE FOOD
More of our boys and men are going to be called into the armed forces of the United
States—High and low government officials, foreign news commentators, military
analysists, all are of the opinion that this is going to be a long and tough war. Hit-
ler and the Japs say it will last until the Un ited States is licked, so you can figure it
out for yourself.
Remember, we are the only nation in the WORLD that can produce food and we
are the only nation that has time to plant, reap and market.
