The Rusk Garden Club was enter-
tained with a luncheon Friday at
Deckards cafe. The table was beau-
tifully decorated with azaleas.
Mrs. Cartlidge presided in the ab-
sence of Mlrs. T. H. Singletary, pres-
ident, who because of illness could
not attend.
Each mefmber introduced her
guests. Group singing was enjoyed
by all with iMrs. Joe B. Copeland at
the piano.
Gordon Tilley of Jacksonville en-
tertained the group with the showing
of several pictures of grouping and
assembling flowers for the home and
outdoor gardens which was enjoyed
by everyone.
Twenty-live attended the luncheon. ;
Mrs. Albert Reierson of Athens was
an out-of-town guest of her sistser,
Mrs. Cartlidge.
W. M. S. MEETING
The Women's Missionary Society
of the First Christian Church met
j Monday afternoon with Mrs. Tot
Holcomb as hostess, with Mrs. Earn-
est Harris, presiding.
The devotional was given by Mrs. j
Starling Cartlidge.
A duet by Mrs. Siella Zachary and
Mrs. Andrew Hubbard was followed
by prayer and song.
At the close of tha program a so-
cial hour was enoyed. Refreshments
