tember 27 and continuing through October 12, one offi-
cer, sixty-six soldiers, and twenty trucks of the United
States Army will start collecting scrap in Cheokee county
to keep up the production of planes, tanks, guns and bul-
Jets for our boys at the fighting front*.
You may think your scrap is all in, but look closer. The
need is urgent. Donate now to the war effort. The trucks
will cover every mail route in the county. !Pi!e your scrap
near your mail box and the trucks will pick it up. Or if it
is impossible for you to move the scrap to the mail route,
put a note on the outside of the mail box directing the
soldiers to your farm and they will go after it. ..

part!
