SGT. BILLY PHILLIPS HONORED
Moseley's Drug Store force enter-
tained with an outdoor picnic /din
ner at the home of Miss Robert
Leake last Sunday evening, compli-
menting Sgt. Billy "Pinky" Phillips
who is home on furlough after see-
ing eight months service overseas
in the Marine Signal Corps.
The outdoor table was a scene of
good cheer with its "hot dogs,", sal-
ads, bacon, rice, fruit, pickles, ba-
nana pudding, cake, and Coffee.
Those enjoying the delicious pic-
nic dinner and happy evening with
Billy and his mother were Mr. and
Mrs. Minton Moseley; Mr. and Mrs.
Chas. Chapman; Dr. and Mrs. T. H.
Cobble; Mir. and Mrs. Gerald Chap-
man; Mrs. Cecil McLaughlin and Ce-

Thursday jWorkers Lead
At Red Cross Room
The Thursday afternoon workers at
the Red Cross bandage work room
have been holding a consistent lead
over all other workers for several
weeks but last week made their best
showing by making 2125 bandages.
The Wednesday workers had made
and tied 1259 the previous day.
