Yesterday about 11 o'clock,
John Campbell of Connecticut, who
is an enterprising dealer in blood-
ed stock, while in the discharge
of some duties in connection with
the stock, fell from the train to
the ground, dis'ocatinor his right
shoulder and severely bruising his
body. He was immediately taken
to the laboratory of Dr. T. N.
Cutler & Son, where the disloca-
ton was reduced antj the neces-
sary remedies administered.
As we half expected, the Dallas
Commercial was only delayed en-
transit, it having foiade its appear-
{y ance again, yesterday, after a
week's absence; but the back num-
bers are still hunting their desti-
nation, we suppose. Texas is bless-
ed with splendid mail arrange-
ments.
Yesterday evening the train be-
longing to John Hoerr ran away,
causing some damage and a great!
deal of excitement. The team
started with an empty wagon on
Main street between Austin and
Rusk avenues, dashing furiously
down Main street toward thj de-
pot, struck a farmer's wagon in
front of Plank Bros', knocking a
spoke out of one of the wheels
and turning it over, throwing the
bed off Hoerr's wagon and break-
ing it in two at the corner of
'Houston avenue. The horses then
turned toward Boss' mill, carrying)
with them the front wheels of the
wagon. Considering the noise
and excitement caused by the run-
away, 4he damage was trifling.

Consternation prevailed in the
family of Dr. Yeidel, of this city,
on receiving a telegram announc-
ing the death of Joe Loenstein, a
merchant of Dallas, to whom the
doctor's e'.dest daughter,- M'ss
Genie was to have been married
on the 31st. The telegram simply
read. "Come at once, poor Joe is
dead." A few minutes after re-
ceiving this startling intelligence,
a letter, addressed to Miss Genie,
was delivered by the postman. It
