The church attendance
for services Sunday and
Sunday night was low due
to bad weather.
Mr. and Mtb. Alvin Irv-
in visited Sunday afternoon
with Mrs. Mary Lee of
Naples and also with Mr.
and Mrs. Nugent Kesseler.
Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Rob-
inson have been visiting in
Dallas with their children
since las* Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Dock Smith
spent ttye week end in At-
lanta tfith Mr. and Mrs.
Donnie Smith and girls.
Mr. and Mrs. Nathan
Tefteller of Dallas, and
Mrs. Leona Tefteller vis-
ited Sunday afternoon with
Mr. and Mrs. Herman
Wommack.
Albert Eaton has been a
patient in the Mt. Pleasant

Basketball season began
at Pewitt school last week
and the Brahmas got off
to a shakey start with one
win in four games.
A tournament at Dain-
gerfield last week end gave
the Brahmas a 48-41 win
over James Bowie and
losses of 52-51 to Linden-
Kildare and 54-43 to the
Hughes Springs team.
Mike Buster was the top
scorer in the games with
Linden-Kildare and James
Bowie. He had 24 points
in the first game and 17
in the second.
In the Linden-Kildare
game, Steve Kirk had 9,
Terry Roach 8, Bobby
Jones 6, and Jack McCoy
and Chad Betts 2 each.
Against James Bowie,
Kirk made 12, McCoy and
Jones 7 each, Roach 4, and
Thad Betts 1.
In the Saturday game with
DEAR SANTA CLAUS,
I have been pretty good
sometimes. Most of all,
Santa, I want the strike to
end so my daddy and all
the other men can go back
to work.
I want a Tippy Toe doll
and a sewing machine.
Bring my little niece Janie
a nice Christmas also. She
has been good. And she
knows who Santa Claus is.

and lost two games. The
first team was beaten 61-
32 with Jones scoring 10,
Kirk 8, Buster 7, and Chad
Betts, McCoy and Roach
2 each.
The second team lost
65-26. Ronnie Daniel and
Jerry Garrett scored 6
each, Charles Shirey 4,
and Scotty Thomas, David
Betts and Gary Huddle-
ston 3 each.
The first team will com-
pete this week end in the
tournament at Linden-Kil-
dare.
DEAR SANTA,
I went to town Sunday
and I saw a talking Barbie
doll. I wonder if you could
get it for my sister, Dotty.
I want a talking Stacy doll.
My brothers Bobby and Da-
vid want a pair of boxing
gloves. For my big sister,
please get her a Hot Wheels
Racing Set.
I was sick the day you
came to town but Dotty got
me a plastic Santa.
I want you to get mother
and daddy a blanket to keep
them warm on cold nights.
