Read the Following:
Abilene Texas Oct. 22 1895.
Mr. G. W. Harkrider Special
Agent for the New York Life In-
surance Company Abilene Tex.
My dear sir: I wish through yon
to express my earnest and sincere
thanks to the "New York Life In-
surance Company" for their
prompt and satisfactory settle-
ment of the policy held on the
1 life of my deceased husband Thcs.
D. Tarpley.
About iifteen months ago when
he was in good health he took out
a policy for 81000 paying an an-
nual premium of 821.20. He only
lived to pay two premiums mak-
ing total amount paid $48.10.
Within 3 weeks after his death
you handed me the Company's
cheek for $1018.10 being face
value of policy and a return of
all premiums paid as guaranteed
in the policy.
This is certainly a great bless-
ing to myself and child coming
as it does when most needed and
it exemplilies the love care and
forethought of a man vho was
not willing to trust the future of
his family to chance.
1 shall follow his good example
by this day handing you my ap-
plication for insurance in the
same company.
I gladly and earnestly commend
this great and good institution to
everj one.
Again thanking the company
and its representative for the
prompt and good treatment I've
received I remain
Yours gratefully
Mks. Sallie S. Tarpley.
