Mr. William K.Jennings and Miss
Carrie C Christian were united in the
holy bonds of matrimony at the home
of the bride's parents in this city
Tuesday March lolh 1896 at 9:36
o'clock Rev. Mr. Ward of the Cum-
berland Presbyterian church officiat-
ing. The ceremony was performed
in an impressive manner in the pres
ence of the .relatives of each of the
contracting parties and a" few .special
friends. The happy youog couple
are widely known in Abilene and en-
joy the respect and high esteem of all
of their acquaintances.
Miss Carrie is one of Abilene?
most highly accomplished and beauti-
ful' daughters and by her kind and
lovable disposition has won the ad-
miration of all. To know her. is to
love her Ever ready at all times to
lend a helping hand to th? needy. ?he
thus succeeded in driving bitter cars
from many hearts and lives who other-
wise would have been sorrowful and
blank. She will be greatly missed
from the social circle of Abilene.

business man of Waxahachie formtrly
connected with the electric light plant

ness qualifications and will no doubt
