Colorado vs. Abilene.
The third game like the first
two was won by Abilene the
scores standing 13 for Abilene
and 2 for Colorado.
The visitors lost grdund each
day until the last game was too
much one sided to be interesting.
The first game was one of the
best if not the best ever played
at Abilene the scores being Abi-
lene 3 Colorado 2.
Next day Colorado lost by a
score of 8 to 3 and the last game
as above indicated
Our team or such of them as
oan get away will go to Colorado
next week to play "a series of
three games.
No doubt our team will be
make a less favorable show-
ing there as some of our best
players oan not go and Colorado
will be stronger for the insure
reason. We hope however that
they will not come homo with a
nest of goose eggs.

An old lady was in town on
Friday with her son D. A.
Douthitt. It is said that she
was 11 yoars old when the Creek
Indian war broke out and has a
vivid memory of stirring events
qt that day. This would make
her about 103 year's pld. We
have seen one or two popole in
Texas past the oentury mark
but it is rare. This lady is quite
old but able to come to town
without showing any great wear-
iness. i '
