discharge of a shotgun In the hands
of Rev R. C. Pender' late yesterday afternoon.
Rev. Mr Pender and J. L. Rudy both
of this city were yesterday on a hunt
for squirrel and wore about four miles

shoulder. Though desperately wound-
ed the young man was able tp Ikeep
his hold in the tree thus preventing
a fal which might .have made the jic-
cldent fatal.. Rudy then-' climbed the
tree"" and was able to ;get 'the1 young
man to the ground without further
mishap.
Though the wounded man was given
prompt medical attohtiori It Is feared
that he will not recover. His condition
today is very graye f '- '

a result of the accident and its prob-

hunter and the. premature discharge of

others. Only 18 passengors met death
on Texas roads whllo 142 trespassers
wero killed and 565 injured.
