EVEN IF
Randy Landers
Even if
there is
no heaven
no spirit
no deeper reality
no magic
no legends
no god or goddess
and we wait
horrified
of not existing
carving cryptic symbols
worshiped in futile ceremonies
and the witch's broom
is only useful
for sweeping out the garage
Still
there is more
than enough mystery
in emotion
to be a poet.
