OFFICIAL COUNCIL MINUTES
JULY 2, 1984
The City Council met for a regular
Meeting, after proper notice, in the
Sachse City Hall on Monday, July 02,
1984 at 7:45 P.M.
Those present were: Mayor Jim
Anderson, City Secretary Sue Lynes,
Eldon Gordon, Bill Stewart, Elaine
Gore, and Joyce Yandry.
Guests were seven citizens, Kenneth
Keller, TP&L, and Randy Arp, TP&L.
The Regular Meeting was opened
with the pledge of allegiance and
prayer.
1. Minutes of June 18, 1984 Regular
Meeting: Councilwoman Gore made a
motion to approve the minutes as writ-
ten. Motion was second and carried
unanimous.
2. Bills for Approval of Payment:
Councilwoman Gore made a motion to
pay the bills as written with the excep-
tion of Dallas County Public Works
out of the General Pfcnd in the amount
of $10,024.60. Motion was second and
carried unanimous.
3. Recommendation of P&Z on Sal-
mons Estates, No. 9 - Preliminary Plat:
Councilman Gordon made a motion to
accept the Planning and Zoning Com-
mission's recommendation and ap-
prove the Preliminary Plat of Salmons
Estates, No. 9. Motion was second and
carried with a vote of three (3) to one
(1) with Councilwoman Yandry voting
against.
4. Results of Public Hearing on
0.9544 Acres on Pleasant Valley Road:
Councilman Stewart made a motion to
annex the 0.9544 acres of land on Plea-
sant Valley Road. Motion was second
and carried unanimous. Mr. Edwards
will have sixty (60) days to complete the
items listed by the Building Inspector to
bring the house up to standards; 1.
Cover outside scuttle, 2. Pressure relief
valve on hot water heater, 3. P trap in
rear bathroom, 4. Wire in bathroom

5. Results of Public Hearing on
91.00 Acres on Pleasant Valley Road:
Councilwoman Gore made a motion to
deny Mr. Scheid's request for Disan-
nexation on 91.00 acres of land on
Pleasant Valley Road. Motion was se-
cond and carried unanimous. i
6. Water Bond Update: Mayor'
Anderson stated that he had met with
City Engineer Aubrey Adcock, the
contractor, a representative from
North Texas Municipal Water District,
the City's Water Superintendent,
Police Chief and a representative from
the fire department regarding the con-
struction of the new storage tank. The
contractor should be able to move his
equipment in within the next two
weeks. Mr. Adcock stated that it is
customary to pay 90ff/o of the materials
in the first draw which will occur before
we receive funding from the sale of the
bonds. Mayor Anderson stated that the
city could meet the $75,000 payment
from the General Fund to be reimburs-
ed whenever the bonds are sold. The
Mayor will go to Austin on July 19,
1984 to meet with the Texas Water
Development Board for the additional
$65,000. The bonds will be ready for
sale immediately following that
meeting and the passing of the Ordi-
nance for the sale of such Revenue
Bonds. The representative from North
Texas Municipal Water District stated
that we would not be able to tap the
line until October 1, 1984.
