Some speakers felt that a 10,000 sq.
ft. lot would be all right, but with
larger size houses.
A public hearing was also held on
48 plus acres at Blackburn and Mur-
phy Roads, this is presently zoned
C-l for 15 acres and R-4 for 33 acres.
A request was made to change to C-l
for 19 acres and R-4 for 28 acres.
Several area residents spoke
against the R-4 zoning, but not the
C-l. The main opposition to R-4 was
the size of the houses and that the
houses should face Blackburn Rd.
R-2A zoning (1.750 sq. ft. homes)
was recommended by those
speaking.
Dyle Warren, resident in Salmon
Estates, who had recently had her cat
killed by dogs running at large, sug-
gested to the council that the im-
poundment fees be increased from
$31.00 to additional fees of $30.00 for
each time of impoundment. Lloyd
Henderson, City Manager will work
on rewriting the ordinance with
step increase.
A Saturday. June 28. 1986 date was
set for the council to meet for orien-
tation with the city's various boards.
June 11, 1986 was set for personnel
review with each department head.
