WELL, customers, that's how yer
Uncle Jake riggers th' football
gaims will cum out this Saddidy,
Tliey oter not be but one close gaim
an' "that's th* big Oklahommie an'
Texas tiissel in Dallas an' this otcr
be a fight wurth cumin' miles t'
see.
— ooooo
You'll notis I give Dana Bible an'
his Longnoms th' best o! it by one
touchdown. These Oklahommie boys
is always tuff an' they oter have a
better team this year then last
whin they lost t' th' Longhorns by
th' close score o' 19 t' 16. Even
nice fer th' supporters o'th' Sooners.
— ooooo —
Th' S. M. U. Mustangs go down
In Smith County t' play th' College
o' th' Pacific at th' Tyler rose fes-
tival bizniss. This oter not be close
fer th' Mustangs if they wanta
crack loose an' run up a score.
'Course they bin up in Nue York
ah' ain't got over that trip fully yit
an' th' thing mought turn out t' be
a real dog fight. If ya is neer Tyler
Saddidy an' like a good football
gaim, see this one.
—ooooo—
All you Camelites what is pullin'
fer th' T. C. U. Frogs better cross
yer fingers an' hope fer th' best.
Them Indiana boys is plinty tuff
this yeer an' air set t' muss Dutch
Meyer's hands as much as possible.
— ooooo —
I tole ya awhile back t* keep a
eye on Frank Kimbrough an' his
Baylor Bears down in McLennan
County. In his first gaim this Wil-
son boy scored two touchdowns an'
kicked goal twice an' 'peers reddy
t' raise all kinds o' cain in th'
Southwestern Conference this sea-
son. He carried th' ball 15 times an*
gained 62 yards. He punted 9 times
fer a average o' 41 yards. He re-
turned two punts fer 40 yards.
That's a dern site better football
playin' then inny other player dune
in th' first gaim o' th' season.
— ooooo —
I don't figger they'll have much
trubble with th' boys frum th'
Ozarks what I think oter step outta
th' conference an' let Texas Tech
taik their place. Them ole Pan-
handle boys wud give us a dern
good team every yeer.
— ooooo —
Texas University has set a good
example. They will admit men in
military or navy uniform t* all
Raima fer fifty cents. I don't see
why th' other colleges don't wake
up an' maik th' saim offer. Jist
'bout th' least we all kin do is t'
maik it as easy on these boys as we
kin. They wud 'preciate seein' th'
college gaims an' most o' 'em kin
scrape up four bits.
—ooooo—
Speakin' o* boys in service I don't
figger they is innything holdin' Joe
Louis now frum goin' on int' th'
army. It's his one big chance t'
prove what kind o' champion he is.
— ooooo —
It jist cum t' my attenshun that
th' power & light folks give schools
th' lowest rate possible so they kin
light their football fields at night
so gaims kin be played under lights
an' th* high school boys has a chance
to see college gaims Saddidy after-
noons.
—ooooo—
I know th' utility folks git a lot
o* misery poured on 'em but I know
in this case all good sportsmen will
join me in thankin* 'em fer this fine
thing t' help 'long clean athleticks
in our schools. It's a real jesture o'
good sportsmanship.
— ooooo —
Well, I gotta git busy an' help
put up sum chow-chow an' figger
out a way t' git plinty o' corn fer
my two shoats. See ya next week.

BUILDS A GREATER GULF SOUTH
★ It takes more than the work of any one man or organization to build a great industrial
region. It is a job for everybody.
★ For instance, our associate Company, United Gas Pipe Line Company, is carrying out a
program to help attract new industries to this area and to develop greater opportunities for
industries already here. Included in this program are monthly full-page advertisements in
national magazines, mailed advertising, and personal interviews with industrialists in various
parts of the country.
* In this program the Company is working Hand in hand with the Chambers of Commerce,
Governmental bodies, and other industrial development agencies in this .cooperative effort
to build a greater Gulf South.
* "Teamwork" of all Gulf South agencies has resulted in industrial growth of tiie area and
we are glad to do our full share toward the further industrial development of this area.
