Mr. Artimus Walls of this com
munity died at Brooks Clinic, Fri-
day February 8th. He has been
one of Alamance's best citizens
for a good many years and will be
greatly missed by his many
friends. He has been in ill health
for some time. Our deepest sym-
pathy, to the bereaved.

Green atended the funeral of Mrs.
Mae Smith at Birthright, Texas,
Wednesday.
Andy Whitehorn, Jr. spent a-

Church and Sunday school were
well attended Sunday. We had
a very nice sermon delivered by
our pastor. We had about 60 at
Sunday school. Lets try to have a
hundred next Sunday. We were
very happy to see all our visitors

Cpl. Calvin R. Grisham was
home on a week end pass this
week. He returned to the hospital
at Temple, Texas.
Misses Ruby Holland and Mar-
garet Steed were visitors in the
Center Hill church Sunday after-
noon.
Second and Fourth Sundays are
our regular preaching Sundays.
Whe are expecting a large crowd
on each of these days.

Little Alton Parker has been ill.
But is improving now.
The following boys of this com-
munity have teen discharged re-
cently. Troyce Hampton, J. D. Lee
Adrain Hill, William E. Hicks, Ray
McPherson, Harold Jordon and
Momer McCord. We are proud to
know all of these boys are back
home.
James Richey, Grady Betts and
Winston Hampton were discharg-
ed some time ago.
There has been several on the
sick list. Mr. J. C. Richey, Bobby
Don McCord, Janet Heard, and
Winston Hampton.
Gordon Sharpe of U. S. Army
is home on furlough. He is station
ed at San Angelo, Texas.
Elnora Hampton has returned
home after a visit with her cousin
Clois Robinson in Hot Springs,
Ark., Clois and children are visit-
ing with Hampton's now.
There were a good many out
for League last night. We like to
see every one come that can.
Mrs. Chubby Sharpe and baby
spent the week end with Mr. and
Mrs. A. H. Barnett.
