Funeral Service
Held Here For
Charles Archer
The funeral service for Charles
Harold Archer was held at the
First Baptist Church at Naples
Tuesday of last week with the
Rev. Morris Hill of Naples, the
Rev. W. H. Anderson of Kilgore
and the Rev. L. E. Lamb of Dain-
gerfield officiating.
Burial was at the Daingerfield
cemetery with graveside services
by Oasis Masonic Lodge No. 79
at Daingerfield.
Pallbearers were Jud Archer,
Bill Kennedy, Bill Coker, W. E.
Key Jr., and Boyet Stevens.
Immediate survivors are his
wife; two sisters, Mrs. Alex Camp-
bell of Shreveport, and Mrs. Ho-
gan Head of Dallas; five nieces
six nephews and two sisters-in-
law.
Mr. Archer was born at Naples
on Dec. 17, 1882. He was married
to Miss Mary Key of Daingerfield
on December 29, 1912.
He was a life-long member of
the Baptist Church and was active
in its affairs and in civic work.
He was a registered pharmacist,
beginning his work at the Smith
Drug Store in Naples. He later
worked at Mt. Pleasant stores and
was one of the organizers of the
Medical Arts Drug Co. at San An-
tonio. He served as vice president
and director of the organization.
Mr. Archer was a member of
Patterson Masonic Lodge at San
Antonio, a member of the San An-
tonio Retail Drug Association, the
State Pharmaceutical Association,
and the National Pharmaceutical
Association.
Mr. and Mrs. Archer had lived
in San Antonio since 1920.
