We are very sorry to report
the passing of our friend, Mr.
Harrel Ingraham of Marietta. Mr.
Ingraham passed away at his
home in Marietta Sunday night.
He has been ill for some time.
Our sympathy to loved ones. The
funeral service was conducted
Tuesday afternoon.
At this lime I would like to
announce to the . people, the
voters, and my friends that I am
a candidate for the office of
Sheriff of Morris County.
I am thirty-six years of age,
married and have one child. 1
have been a resident of this coun-
ty for twenty-five years. I am a
veteran of world war two, having
served four years: fought in five
campaigns, was wounded and lat-
er returned to the firing line.
If elected your sheriff, it is my
sincere belief that I can make
this a better county in which to
livS. I believe that it is the be-
lief of you good people that the
duties of the sheriff are to en-
force the law without fear or
favoritism. It is not my desire to
become obligated to the extent
that I would be compelled to do
otherwise.
I believe this is the kind of
sheriff you and the county wants
and needs.- If so, then vote for
and use your influence for Sam
Black.
If elected, may I take this op-
portunity to ask you for your help
and ideas for the purpose of mak-
ing this a better county in which
to live.
Sincerely,
Sam Black
