You hear and road a lot these days about hormones . .
most of it, nowever, is the product of misconceptions and
misinformation. The truth of the matter is that medical
science would be the first to admit that very little is known
about these mysterious substances which are linked inex-
plicably to secrets as deep and illusive as the secret of life
itself. Hormones are normally manufactured bv the body's
ids, for instance, the idrenals, the sex glands, tne pttui-
' the thyroid and the pancreas; and the biood carries
fm throughout the rest of the body. They have control
over growth, the development of masculine and feminine
characteristics, and seem to have some contiol of the aging
processes. Doctors, by prescribing dosage of synthetic hor-
mones, can do much to restore balance to systems which
are victims of over or undcr-dt-velopmenf.
FILLING PRESCRIPTIONS is o>jr most important business.
