PAINS
In Side and Back
"I had been miserable
for a long time. My
health was poor, and
I suffered a lot from
weakness. At times,
my etrength was so
little that I could not
stand on my feet. I
would have to give up
and go to bed. My
aides and back hurt
dreadfully.
"I grew discouraged, for I could
do so little. I worried about my-
self, and almost gave up hope of
ever being strong and welL I
could scarcely Kft a bucket of
water. My bouse work went un-
done, for I was not strong enough
to do it.
"After I had taken Cardui for
a little while, I began to feel
better. I grew stronger, soon
found that I could do my work
with leas effort, and the pains in
my back and sides left me. I
think Cardui is a wondorful
medicine. My health has been
excellent since then."—Mrs. D. L.
Beckner, W. Main St., Salem, Va.

ferson 22 to 13.
The Linden "Lighting Bugs"
played a fast name nf ball Thurs
dav afternoou with Jefferson;
Jefferson scored 4 points before
tlie "Lightening Bugs" got the
ball, but L Wray and Allday
showed their lightening spirit to
surpass the Jefferson centers,
Sexton's runnrtig mate, Humph
rey, showed her ability to hand
the buJll fo Sexton when she
easly madeihe counts. R. Wray
and Stephens did their duty as
guards to |<eep the Jefferson for-
wards from making scores;
Strickland taking R. Wray's
p'ace as guard, after she fouled
out, did extra hard work. As
our team consisted of small and
fast players they deserve the
name of "Lightening Bugs."
