Originally they were to pay the
Government interest for the use
of this credit. They are not the
same institutions established by
VVoodrow Wilson. We are paying
nearly a billion dollars a yeur
interest on Federal indebtedness.
My plan is to stop paying this
iaterest, levy no additioual Fed-
eral taxes and issue currency
when ueeded instead of these in-
terestbearing, tax exempt bunds.
AAA Maps Fight
The AAA will exercise its full
power to prevent gougers as a
result of thedrouth. Food hoard-
ing and profiteering will invoke
the licensiag provision against
concerns charging unnecessarily
high prices. The department of
Agriculture has declared that
"uever before in history has there
been so little rain over so wide a
territory". The South is in bet-
ter condition to staud a feed and
food shortage than any other
parts of the country. It has a
