The Thalian Club met at the
Rusk Hotel September 14 for the
first meeting of the new year.
Mrs. John iLester directed the
program anil welcomed the new
president, Mrs. Edwin Campbell.
Mrs. Campbell presided during
the business session at which
time Mrs. Charles Long and Mrs.
Joe Ross were elected new mem-
bers. At the close of the business
session, Mrs. Lester introduced
Mrs. Fred 'Lunsford, who gave a
mosi, interesting discussion of the
life of Mary Stewart, author of

The Rusk Library Study Club
held its first meeting of the new
year at the home of the presi-
dent, Mrs. W. H. Hanna, Thurs-
day afternoon, September 9.

IRON MOUNTAIN W.H.D. CLUB
The Iron Mountain W. H. D.
Club met last Thursday in the
home of Mrs. Layton Jones for a
regular demonstration with Mrs.
Miller present.
The Club welcomed Mrs. C. A.
Portis and Mrs. Clyde Bolls as
new members and Mrs. Roy Ginn
as a visitor.
Mrs. Miller, the new demon-
stration agent, gave a very in-
teresting and helpful rug making
demonstration. Many new ideas
were presented that will prove to
be very effective and time saving
in making rugs for the home.
The hostess was showered with
many gifts.
The club enjoyed a flower game
led by the recreational leader.
