What's Wrong With Christmas?
Tb
There was no room in the Inn for Jesus. In the Nine-
teen Hundred and Forty-Eight years that have passed, we
too have selfishly crowded Him out.
Christmas should be a time of Happiness and Joy. But
today instead of joy there flows an undercurrent of dread,
worry, anxiety and fear. The hurried Christmas shopper and
the tired faces show anxiety. There is fear that we may
forget someone; fear that we won't be able to keep up with
our neighbors and fear of paying bills. All these are cer-
tain signs that something is wrong with our Christmas.
The season of GETTING is what Christmas means to
many youngsters and sadly enough, older folks, too. This is
a time for eating a big dinner, shooting fireworks and get-
ting lots of presents to most of us.
This should be a time for GIVING not getting. We could
take a lesson from the Wise Men and Shepherds of long ago.
They brought gifts of love and adoration to the Christ Child.
We could include Christ in Christmas, making it a Holy
Day instead of a Hol-i-day. We could show our love for Him
by giving more generously to spread. His cause 011 earth
and by living His example everyday.
Certainly Christmas to you and me should be the time
that your heart and mine is to rejoice that a Savior to me
has come . .. This year let's put the CHRIST in CHRISTMAS.

Christ Jesus was born in a stable
A birthplace of humblest de-
gree,
So that no one could say, "I am
pooer,
More lacking in comforts, than
He."
His mother in swaddling bands
wrapped Him,
The wardrobe of one, the
Divine,
That no one could say of His
raiment,
"Christ's garments were better
than mine."
Ills home and His comforts were
borrowed—
No pillow for resting His head.
But He lived, and He suffered
and sorrowed,
To give us true comforts in-
stead.
In glory His wealth had been
boundless!
He laid all those riches aside,
That we might have riches eter-
nal,
And with Him forever abide.
